Built by the Germans during World War II, the Keroman base is a former submarine base that propelled Lorient into the heart of the Battle of the Atlantic. Here you can visit the Flore-S645, a genuine vintage submarine that has been converted into a museum.

The Compagnie des Indes Museum is the art and history museum of the city of Lorient, and has been awarded the Musée de France label. Located in the citadel of Port-Louis, it recounts the history of the great maritime trading companies of the 17th and 18th centuries. Accessible by water bus from Lorient (Lorient ↔ Port-Louis ferry service).
